Connecting members looking for services from a fellow-member.
Member-based organizations have people with a shared passion, a shared interest, or shared goals. Frequently people within these organizations desire to support each other by using services provided by other members within their membership community.
The host organization (ex. a golf club) is simply providing a service that members can use to connect with each other. The club is not endorsing, providing recommendations, or advocating for the member business; they’re simply providing a connection … a connection that is welcomed by both the requesting member and the member that is offering services.
If a member is looking for a service (for example an interior designer), the member would send a text message to the club’s telephone number (the club’s existing landline!) with the message “CONNECTIONS”. The system will respond, automatically and immediately, 24/7/365, with a link to the services directory.
Once they access the link, they can enter “interior designer” (or whatever industry category they’re looking for) in the search field; results are displayed showing the company logo and a picture of the member that represents the company. Searches can also be based on first name, last name, or company name. One-tap options are presented (to call, text, go to their website, go to their social media channels, book appointments, see online reviews, etc.) and they can tap on the desired function to connect.
